Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome back! The 2024-2025 school year is sure to be an exciting one. I hope that you and your family had a great summer and that your children are ready to head back to school. The Kernville Elementary staff is anxiously awaiting for our students to return to school.

The Kernville Elementary staff has high expectations for every student, and will go above and beyond to see each student succeed. We are committed to providing a safe and positive school environment. We clearly define, teach, and model our common school-wide behavior expectations and we recognize students for their hard work. Ultimately, we strive to empower our students to make knowledgeable choices.

Our school community promotes teamwork: teachers, staff, parents, community and students all working together for a common goal. There are some exciting changes this year, including the addition of our new Achievement Leader. Our staff is focused on a team approach to meet the needs of every student. There are many ways to be involved on the Kernville Elementary campus: classroom volunteers, Parent-Teacher Committee, School Site Council, and the PBIS Team. If you are interested in joining, please let your child’s teacher or the front office know.

Regular school attendance is a key to success for children. Please make every effort to schedule appointments after school or later in the day in order to reduce the amount of time your child misses class. Keeping a regular routine on school nights and school days help children to be more motivated to get to school on time every day.
